How the media's legacy within Speeches Policies

The recent dismissal of Bill O'Reilly of Fox News confirms that no man has
a steady job in the media & # 8212; especially when they do not conform to
the leftist ideology. The fact that he had a long career in TV news, the
issue of new rated on cable, bestselling books and was almost the face of a
network is not enough to protect against allegations of sexual misconduct.
The name of O'Reilly could be replaced by countless other media
personalities targeted with negative coverage leading career damage. Both
means and why this targeting is a combination of snobbery, greed and an
institution trying to protect itself and its ideology.
Working in the media (journalism / Hollywood, etc.) is like any business
work. Many care more for the prestige of the position and the benefits it
brings rather than the actual work itself. As Nassim Taleb wrote,
journalists, "very concerned over the views of other reporters than the
general public. "Once, they will do everything to protect their position,
even it means suck those in power and embrace its ideology (left /
globalist). For those who put in the time and made compromise to do well,
it is almost natural to want to discredit those trying to infringe on the
perceived territory or those who refuse to comply with accepted practices
and ideological dictates.
Are not they one of us
Hostility, suspicion and condescension toward perceived foreigners are
common in all areas or social group and so it is with the media. Before was
considered the presidential election 2016, Alex Jones a curiosity for the
general public. He organized an independent radio program niche Austin,
Texas, appealing to fans of Ron Paul and those interested in conspiracies
and # 8212; a slightly more political version of Art Bell. He even appeared
in two films directed by leftie (and fellow Austinite) Richard Linklater.
But with support from Donald Trump for president 2016, he has more
influence. His views on YouTube exceeded most of the traditional media and
he even boasted of his personal conversations with the president-elect then
Trump. When WikiLeaks released CIA documents "Vault 7", its some of its
conspiracy theories became reality. He was now a rival to existing media.
And that meant they would use any opportunity to discredit him.
Thus, when a gunman fired at Comet Pizza in Washington DC, the center of
the ring pedophile "Pizzagate" Jones was one of those blamed for spreading
the story and "false news" in general. Lawsuits were threatened and had to
denounce Jones' Pizzagate "on the air while pulling journalists.

His Infowars operation in general was also affected when YouTube
demonetized all the content they viewed as "controversial". Facebook went
after the spread of sites "false news" with Infowars' as a clear target.
Google Sellers had classified the site as "low quality". And when a custody
battle between him and his ex-wife went to court, the media burst, reports
on all sordid details & # 8212; especially when he said he plays
a "character" in his show.

Mike Cernovich, another person covering stories outside the system, is a
current target. After supportive tweets both Donald Trump Jr. and Kellyanne
Conway to break the story of Susan Rice command associated Trump wiretaps &
# 8221 unmasked; it was natural to arouse the jealousy of the media
establishment. Immediately, articles in traditional publications (such as
the Washington Post and the New York Times) Critical him make his & # 8221
misogynist; tweets. In The Weekly Standard, Eli Lake of Bloomberg Cernovich
called a "fake artist news, & # 8212; although Cernovich broken rice
history before the lake "confirmed" it.

with donors like the European Commission, NATO, Saudi Arabia and the United
Arab Emirates? No. The biggest story was "extreme right" and activists #
8212; not journalists and # 8212; trying to influence an important election
in France.
Jack Posobiec profile in the New Yorker emphasized activism not journalism
In the eyes of existing media, the above can have their niche audience, but
they can not steal the praise of those in power, or influence. That is why
all the meme "False News" was launched: can report the news "real" Only
journalists "real". If a story influences an election, a real & # 8221;
journalist is just reporting & # 8221;. If it is done by an outside & #
8221; it's activism at best, false at worst. If the opportunity arises, if
a third party with earth or embarrassing stories or tweets, a business
creation journalist exploit the opportunity to discredit a stranger.
That people Edgar Snow, Walter Duranty, Stephen Glass, Judith Miller and
Dan Rather & # 8212; those false pedaled actual news (write apologetic for

is sympathetic to their situation. Why? They are journalists "real". They
are one of the United States.

There Reputations (and profits) Issue
It is attractive to write off existing media companies like the dinosaurs
to the logging off. However, most companies still have deep pockets (with
billionaires Carlos Slim and benefactors like Jeff Bezos) and the ear of
the cultural and political establishment. And as there is a slight profit
motive, there occasionally someone willing to try to make some money on the
opinion that might be a little dissenting.
This is especially the case in terrestrial radio, an industry that is
desperately fighting for their relevance in the digital age. Rush Limbaugh,
the most successful conservative radio talk show in the US, was credited
to "save" the AM band when he was dying in the 80 late. But this success
does not have to favor elite media.

hyperventilation
When Limbaugh attempted to pursue other avenues, he encountered various
degrees of resistance. His first television appearance in 1990 & # 8212;
CBS invited hosting a late night & # 8212 conference; leads to disaster. In
2003, he passed on the NFL pregame show for ESPN quickly ended when he made
a statement deemed "racist". In 2006, when he was being considered as an
abuse of prescription drugs by law enforcement, news outlet covered
sensationally as it was El Chapo. In 2009, his attempt to own a NFL
franchise was stillborn when questionable comments "racist" were made
public by the media. Apart from talk radio and publishing, media companies
and sports organizations do not want to risk bad press for being associated
with him.
nationalist radio host Michael Savage met immediate play when he has a show
on MSNBC in 2003. He was only a little over a month when he made a comment
that upset GLAAD. The network quickly canceled the program, not wanting to
bad press and decided to go to a full leftie Management.

Since then, Savage (Donald Trump who borrowed many points of discussion)
was relegated to radio and the publication & # 8212; rarely appearing in
mainstream news broadcasts. However, some of his criticism of Islam, it was
hyped to such a degree and found that "hateful" banned from Britain in 2009.
John Derbyshire has not been banned from his native Britain, but in 2012,
he lost his job as a columnist for National Review wrote when Politically
Incorrect franc piece on race relations for Takimag. As has caused an
uproar of the people of Ta-Nehesi Coates Josh Barro and Forbes, editor Rich
Lowry criticism of leftist prostrate to cry and said the room, "lurching
politically incorrect to the wicked and indefensible. "Derbyshire, who had
both fiction and non-fiction books published by traditional outlets (and
even appeared in a Bruce Lee movie), found himself exiled from the
establishment press.
Forbes Josh Barro not be an activist, just take a stand
This type of media outcry successfully left the established ideological
opponents affects two components: First, it creates a self-policing of
speech. Knowing that some speech can be punished, it requires non-leftists
to act as controlled opposition. Second, it requires companies to terminate
the offers and contracts because they do not want the bad press because of
the threat of losing advertisers and other revenues (as happened with
O'Reilly).
Media companies differ only in principle when they know they earn points
Brownie settlement and (perhaps) to increase revenue from advertisers.
There is little publicity CNN racial discrimination lawsuit that has 175
potential claimants. Robert Downey Jr, had very public battles with cocaine
& # 8212; even go to jail & # 8212 but still has to play Iron Man. David
Letterman had his sexual inclinations made public but keep his job as host
of talk show. Bill Maher can enter the cat would with the best of them and
criticize Islam all he wants. Stephen Colbert can accuse President
pejoratively Trump giving blowjobs Vladimir Poutine without impunity. Why?
Because they think & # 8221 correctly.

Moving the goal posts
Publicly signaling virtue get far in this age of SJW become more like the
Red Guards of Mao. The goal posts are moving constantly and nobody seems to
be free exam. In 2014, when feminism became chic, fashion, Bill Cosby, once
a symbol of racial egalitarianism in the media, had all his legacy
tarnished due to a variety of rape charges. Story after story suddenly
appeared with women making allegations & # 8212 and many years before.
Maybe he did the acts, maybe he did not, but why not women filed a
complaint? Why wasn t even asked that question?
Nate Parker also had this media 180. His film Birth of a Nation, about the
slave revolt of Nat Turner, met with a standing ovation at the Sundance
Film Festival (before the film started no less!) And sold for a record sum.
But the movie imploded because of a rape charge years before & # 8212;
Parker was acquitted. This did not prevent a public outcry from Hollywood
stars like Lena Dunham. All of a sudden, in 2016 rape hysteria trumped race
parts.
Variety title after Parker interviewed on 60 Minutes
And that convicted rapists like Roman Polanski, sleep or Woody Allen with
his adopted daughter and attack the alleged assault of another girl? No
punishment. Why? They are not (publicly) against feminism and globalism,
right? They agree with us. They think like us. They are one of the United
States, until the goal posts are shifting again and until a new
revaluations due to accepted business career and personalities once thought
untouchable ( may be an alpha male is a crime in itself).
For those "outside the system", possibly negative media coverage resulting
in some channels or being closed platforms (PayPal did for Roosh,
Occidental Dissent and Barenaked Islam). Maybe dissenting or (controlled)
the opposition will not be tolerated in media companies at all. Or maybe
the left cannibalize; it is uncertain at this time. But until then, it is
best for foreigners to treat existing media as a no-go zone and for those
heading inward to build their own platforms.
