The nuclear policy of Israel goes beyond deterrence and threatens the world

Some consider nuclear weapons a curse, and I agree. Others say the nuclear
deterrent has helped to keep the peace. Yet there are obvious problems. At
least twice, false positive readings radar almost started end of the world,
largely unknown to the public. Furthermore, deterrence obviously works as
rational actors, unlike emerging pests such as North Korea. Unfortunately,
one of America's closest allies is such a problem.
Israel precarious geopolitical situation
These confrontations often don t end well.
Israel is surrounded by Muslim countries, has a land mass and population
slightly less than New Jersey. Relations have been strained by sporadic war
from the start, leaving the Arab public seething with hatred. Their leaders
are a little less hostile, but not enough for normal international
relations, neighborhood.
It's a dark historical precedent here. In 1099, the First Crusade & # 8212;
a rather late response to the Muslim expansionism & # 8212; established the
kingdom of Jerusalem. In 1187, he was easily exceeded, surviving only in
southern Lebanon. In 1291, he was cleared completely. All that would have
happened sooner if the Arabs had been more unified. The Islamic Caliphate
expanded and again, until a terminal decline.
The Israeli leadership is well aware of what's at stake. They maintain a
well-funded modern army. They had the project from the beginning, even for
women; a measure rather extreme, but justified in their case. The
Palestinian territories are mostly walled, who went away to limit your eyes
brooch endless war they have suffered since the first day.
In addition, the intense lobbying has won proxies within the US government,
and they have done much to destabilize neighboring regimes. For example, I
m wastes no tears for Saddam, but there was more to the Gulf wars that
Kuwait's independence or even the promotion of democracy. Senator Fritz
Holdings said in 2003:
The truth is, I thought that the Israeli intelligence was really provide
all of this information and that we were in this time for our little friend
of Israel. Instead of the blame, we could end that Desert Storm had
neglected; ie get rid of Saddam and getting rid of [weapons] nuclear
simultaneously.
Be all that as it may, Israel ace up their sleeve is their nuclear
capability.
Israel's nuclear program
The plant of nuclear weapons in Dimona: here's what you can see
PM Ben Gurion Israel's nuclear ambitions a priority from the beginning.
According to Peter Pry's 1986 book Israel's nuclear arsenal, they studied
the masters. Fifty-six Israeli scientists were trained in Oak Ridge
Tennessee and Argonne National Laboratory in Illinois. Israel's first
reactor was Soreq Nuclear Research Center, designed in 1956 by the American
architect Philip Johnson. According Pry, the US has provided this effort
with fifty kilograms of enriched uranium. This is just a research center,
but the whole experience has allowed Israelis to pursue other goals.
With the help of France, Israel created the Negev Nuclear Research Center
near Dimona, which began construction in 1958 and put online around 1963.
In fact, President Kennedy expressed some concern. JFK didn t have much
chance to act on it, for obvious reasons. Some consider that this is not a
coincidence, but all that's very questionable.

The Dimona facility contains six levels of secret basement to arms
production in the Institute laboratory 2. The lifts are located near the
cafeteria, behind a wall to deceive the American inspectors to visit in the
1960s. Basement is the real control room, not the version of Potemkin
inspectors saw. It's estimated that the Dimona facility produces 40
kilograms of plutonium a year, and enriched uranium. Lithium, deuterium and
tritium (used in the ignition sequence of cluster H) are other products.
Estimates in 1986 put Israel's arsenal 100-200 nuclear weapons.
We would not know these details if not for the revelations of Mordechai
Vanunu, a former worker at the Dimona plant. Before he lost his job in
1985, he snuck in a camera and took pictures of fifty. The following year,
he took his story to the Sunday Times in Britain. Unfortunately for him, he
is supported by a honey trap & # 8221; and was drugged and kidnapped. After
that Mossad took him to Israel, he was imprisoned for eighteen years,
eleven of which in solitary confinement. At least it is better than Ethel
and Julius Rosenberg were in the day.
Israel has never signed the Nuclear Non-proliferation; I'll have to give
them credit for honesty. At present, the best Israelis admitted that
everyone knows, but the strategic ambiguity & # 8212; perhaps we have em,
maybe we don t play & # 8212; still serves a purpose. Specifically, US law
has strings attached to foreign aid, and development of nuclear weapons is
a no-no. If the international community has two hundred unruly children in
a playground, which nine grenades in their backpacks, then n t make sense
to allow more of them grenades.
Israel is a large recipient of US foreign aid. (In 2017, they'll be $ 3.1
billion, an opulent 51st racket for our industrialized state that. S for
decades Meanwhile, Mexico gets a little less than $ 135 million, mostly to
the fight against . drug trafficking) in fact, the US government has been
sued to try to get them to respect their own rules, most people aren t
aware, unless they read the Israeli press.
The Samson Option

Israel weapons delivery systems include fighter-bombers at the airbase Tel
Nof a probable deposit. In addition, MBI Jericho III has a maximum range of
about 11500 km. Their navy includes Dolphin class submarines capable of
launching missiles.
The Israelis intend to use nuclear weapons if the country is in danger of
losing a war. In 1973 Yom Kippur war, it almost happened. Things seemed
pretty dicey, so they warned Henry Kissinger that his boss had better send
help, either. Nixon complied, sending a massive airlift to Israel defense
save the day.
the attitude of Israelis tend to go beyond a desire for self-defense:
Twenty, thirty atomic bombs on Berlin, Munich, Hamburg, Nuremberg, Cologne,
Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Dresden, Dortmund and so on to ensure the work is
done. And the earth will be quiet for a thousand years.
& # 8212; Chen Ben-Eliyahu
As it happens, Germany sold their new submarines. That's the course of
German leadership today. Consider also the following:
If left to its own Israel will have no choice but to fall back on riskier
defense which endanger and the world & # 8230; To allow Israel to refrain
from reliance on nuclear weapons calls for $ 2 to $ 3 billion a year in US
aid.
& # 8212; Amos Rubin economic adviser
We possess several hundred atomic warheads and rockets and can launch them
at targets in all directions, perhaps even at Rome. Most European capitals
are targets for our air force. Let me quote General Moshe Dayan: & # 8216;
Israel must be like a mad dog, too dangerous to bother & # 8230 ;. We have
the capability to take the world with us. And I can assure you that this
will happen before Israel goes under.
& # 8212; Martin van Creveld
You Americans screwed us not to support Israel in its 1956 war with Egypt &
# 8230; People still remember the smell of Auschwitz and Treblinka. The
next time we all take with us.
& # 8212; Israeli official quoted in the Samson option
Is colder heads prevail? Let s hope that we don t need to know.
A plague on both their houses
Israelis and Arabs should settle their dispute like gentlemen and let the
rest of us out.
One can hardly blame Israel for wanting to defend against hostile
neighbors, but they can certainly be blamed for threatening to nuke
countries elsewhere. In addition, an all-out ruin launch worldwide fallout
and nuclear winter. If they're serious about it Then our little friend
Israel is as irrational as North Korea. (Why these guys still again US
aid?) Their leaders should consider the next day that would take in all
Israeli survivors they did this?
As much as I hate to Muslim terrorism, it has some advantages over the
Israeli genre. At least they're not nuclear weapons in the world if they do
t get their way. In addition, they don t pretend to be our friends we play
for chumps.
Really, Israel has much to him; they should go back to that. If their
mission is to be a light to the nations, it's time to start acting the part.
