ESPN Robert Lee retires from playing duties because he shares with Confederate General Name

Via Breitbart:
ESPN drew an Asian broadcaster named Robert Lee a football game at the
University of Virginia because of his name. Lee moved to cover a game in
Pittsburgh instead.
"We took a collective decision with Robert to change his game that the
tragic events in Charlottesville took place, simply because of the
coincidence of his name," ESPN officials disclosed in a statement obtained
spokesman ESPN Derek Volner. "Right now, he felt entitled to all parties. "

Clay Travis OutkickTheCoverage.com broke the story Tuesday night. Travis
wrote:
In a story that seems made for the onion, but is actually true, according
to several fans Outkick inside MSESPN ESPN decided to take an Asian college
football announcer named Robert Lee of William and Mary in University of
Virginia college football game because they were concerned that having a dE
HOST ASIAN FOOTBALL ROBERT LEE NAMED would be offensive to some viewers.
Did I mention that Robert Lee is Asian?
ESPN Lee originally planned to cover the game this weekend between William
and Mary College and the University of Virginia. Instead, ESPN Lee
reassigned to cover the match between Pittsburgh and Youngstown State. Dave
Weekley will cover the game in Virginia. "Unless someone is trying to shoot
down Dave Weekley statues between now and kick," wrote Travis. "In this
case, ESPN will be royally fucked. "
Travis continued:
Does ESPN really believe that people are that stupid or that having an
Asian presenter named Robert Lee is too offensive for the average viewer to
manage?
Yes, they do.

"It is unfortunate that this is still a topic of conversation and we regret
that that calls the play by play for a football game has become a problem,"
says ESPN statement.
