How to deploy your folding knife during a life constituting a threat of attack

Note: The following information is provided for your knowledge. Although
everyone has the right to self-defense, it is your responsibility to know
the self-defense laws in your area if you have never physically protect
yourself or others. In addition, a knife must be used in self-defense when
you or someone else is in danger of death or serious bodily harm. As such,
use this information at your own risk.
In my last article "It Time you get a good folding knife & # 8220; the
various attributes and characteristics of an ideal folding knife were
discussed. In this article, it is now time to articulate when to use a
folding knife. And this I do not mean the obvious idea when to use a file
for standard cutting tasks, but, I mean when using a folding knife for your
personal protection.
After all, when life and limb are on the line, it is essential to know when
to deploy this knife in your pocket; otherwise it is just a glorified
paperweight. So we start s.
Not a fantastic knife-fight
A knife fight will not be like that.
The first thing to understand about using a knife for self-defense is that
it will not therefore be something pretty. Whether you are the one who made
the cut, or the excised or more likely both-any altercation with a blade
will be brutal, bloody and bestial.
This is not a fantastic duel where you launch your hand to hand knife and
jab you parry with your opponent, waiting for the perfect moment to execute
the triple Jet Li attack. No, on the contrary, real fight knife will
probably lead shock, surprise, and unpleasantness seriously. You have
probably won t even see your opponent knife until you stab with it a few
times. It won t be like the movies; instead, it will be a death struggle of
people that few modern humans have been involved in.
Thus, considering all the above, please be aware that the first knife fight
rule is: avoid fighting knife if you can. Run, swim or jump if you must,
but in the end, do everything you can to avoid dealing with a blade. And if
you can not avoid a guy with a knife and pull the sting. This is the second
fight knife rule. However, if you have no weapon, then the third knife
fight rule is when using your own folder. And, ultimately, there are only
two ways to deploy your folding knife: Reactive and proactive.
Deployment reactive knife

Know that if you are facing an opponent armed with a knife has already
deployed its own blade and comes after you, then it will be very difficult
to have time to deploy your own record in response. However, although this
will be difficult, it is impossible, because there are a number of
circumstances in which react with your own blade is a perfectly reasonable
response.
First, consider that there are individuals who have become so quickly with
the deployment of their own folding knife they can get and open it as fast
as they could pull a gun. Now, in doing so takes a lot of practice, but
nevertheless, if you are a knife enthusiast, and if you practice as you can
draw your file in a split second, it may be entirely appropriate for you to
draw and use your own knife if you are suddenly faced with a blade wielding
the short-range opponent.
For others, empty-handed self-defense techniques may be preferable in such
circumstances, since you'll probably get stabbed repeatedly while searching
about your own knife. So, know your own skill level and only deploy your
application reactively if you know you can do it.
Second, if you are attacked by an individual armed with a knife, and if you
are able to turn and run from the attacker for a short period of time, this
will give you a few precious moments you have to draw and prepare your own
folder just in case you can not run far or fast enough. After all, facing a
knife, better to have your own knife so do not have any knife.

Third, if you happen to fight against an enemy with a knife (or other
deadly weapon), and if God forbid you end up struggling and struggling with
such an opponent, it can give you a moment of react and draw your own
folder to end the fight while in this situation of grappling. Again, it won
t be enough, but it is better that you stabbed.
Not a bad time to get your blade and stick in his leg.
So even face an opponent armed with a knife, there are certain
circumstances where you can effectively react with your own knife, even if
it could be so difficult in such conditions.
Knife proactive deployment
Although it is possible to deal effectively with your case, the fact is
that a folding knife is better to be proactive. By this I mean that in some
situations it is possible to deploy your knife preemptively folding in
preparation for use in a self defense scenario.
For example, if you ever find yourself in the wrong part of town, suddenly
being approached by a gang of youths rather wild-looking, it is quite
reasonable, in such a situation, deploy preventively your file for a
confrontation. Of course, you hide your file and not let them know that you
have deployed, but it will be ready anyway.
If the gang leave you alone, then all the better, but at least you were
ready. Also note that this action plan would be completely legal, because
if you attack the gang, it would be easy to explain why you felt the need
to use your folding knife to protect yourself in this situation drastically
in shorthanded because your life was probably at risk. Also note that this
reasoning would apply if a very small (or elderly) man faced a much taller
and younger opponent.

Second, and similar to the first scenario, if you are on the wrong side of
the tracks and are facing an unarmed individual that looks like it will get
you in trouble, do not hesitate to get your knife ready as well. However,
don t open, using the blade could be interpreted as using deadly force in a
situation that warrants it.
Instead, just having the knife in a tight grip with the knife bottom
slightly beyond the bottom of your fist. Then, in case of attack, do not
hesitate to hammer blows rain down on your assailant with the lower end of
the knife giving your shots a little more "Bite & # 8221;. This way you
stay within the limits of the law, but you still earn an advantage over
your attacker unarmed.
Finally, in countries where the ownership of firearms is difficult, with a
knife to the proactive defense home is also a must, although in the case of
home-defense, I would recommend a short or kukri swords, not just one
knife. Anyway if, when you hear this bump in the night, never get out of
bed until your hand closed around the handle of your bedside folder.
A little something for the defense of the house when your handgun misfire.
Conclusion
Ultimately, knife fighting is not a game, or something you want to hire a
knife fight Avoid if possible and shoot the bastard if you can. T. But when
all else fails, you better know when to use or proactively reactively your
own files if circumstances require you to do so. So be ready. Fight like a
beast. And win.
