It's commonly accepted that the Stonewall riots began the LGBT movement,
triggered by a raid of the 1969 Police on a gay bar in New York. In fact,
things were moving well in advance. In 1950, the first American gay
activist group success was formed. That they were really a long story.

Harry Hay was born in 1912 to a prosperous, mining engineer journey in the
