Former Campaign Director Donald Trump Paul Manafort Indicted by the Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller

Paul Manafort, a former campaign manager for President Donald Trump, and
his onetime business partner became the first accused in the extensive
survey of Russian interference with the US election.
The charges against Manafort and Rick Gates, indicate that the Special
Adviser Robert Mueller probe intensifies and could be a danger to the White
House. Investigators are likely to pressure the pair to cooperate with
prosecutors in a clemency offer and disclose everything they know about the
country Trump.
Manafort and Gates face money laundering, conspiracy and tax charges in an
indictment of 12 count.

Trump has repeatedly dismissed the probe as "the largest single witch in
American political history hunt. "The White House seemed shaken the
weekend, and on Sunday the administration officials were unsure who would
be arrested, with President tweeting that investigators should focus
instead on Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party.
Monday morning, prosecutors said Manafort and Gates to surrender. Demand
Mueller took the two men by surprise, with their reliable allies they were
safe for now.
Manafort, wearing a suit and tie, walked past a crowd of photographers and
cameramen in a black SUV as he left Alexandria, Virginia, home to 8 hours,
according to photos and videos posted on Twitter. Gates, lives in Richmond,
Virginia.
Federal charges were brought the prospect of a presidential pardon front
and center, a wild card potential for Mueller investigation. Trump said on
Twitter that the president has "all power" to forgive. But it could deepen
the legal problem of the people in the circle of Trump because prosecutors

Manafort is also under investigation by the authorities in the State of New
York, where the president is not empowered to issue a pardon.

Manafort, 68, was the subject of an investigation by Mueller for months of

Gates worked with Manafort the Trump campaign and political campaigns in

Barrack, a wealthy investor from Los Angeles and confidante Trump, and the
two often visited the White House together.
The charges were filed in federal court in Washington. Calls to
representatives for the two men were not immediately returned.
Manafort Trump joined the campaign to March 2016 and Managed Services from
June to August, when he resigned amid questions about his work for
pro-Russian politicians in Ukraine. He said he knows nothing about Russian
interference. Mueller also investigating possible obstruction of justice by
Trump and other crimes by his associates.
Mueller's office has been particularly aggressive in its pursuit of
Manafort, scrutinizing it whitens money in Eastern Europe in the New York
properties, consistent with the Act on the registration of foreign agents,
and paid taxes on international clients he advised, particularly in Ukraine.
