Star Trek Discovery is social justice Warp Speed

After the inauguration of Star Trek The Original Series (TOS) was canceled,
the franchise went dormant. Subsequently, a series of films began in which
pairs movies were good. Then he returned to television with the new
generation (TNG). After running its course, other benefits have been
launched. Then he went off the air for a while, but a series of film began
restarted; seemingly odd films are now good. Recently, Star Trek: Discovery
(STD) scored the franchise's return to television.
The plot (spoilers) coming

I haven t attended the shows after TNG because I gave up television.
However, I took STD the first three episodes. Please note, it's a prequel
to TOS, predating by ten years. The Klingons have been dormant for a
century, disappearing effectively. However, they've hatched a plot to
remain Klingon & # 8221;. Pretty scary, right?
Then we meet the main protagonist of the Federation, a black lady with a
soft butch appearance named Michael. (Janet Why not?) It & # 8217 Spock; s
& # 8212 adopted sister, another relative surprise as Sybok in the fifth
movie. She is a survivor of a Klingon attack (apparently they're not asleep
after all). Accompany the Captain & # 8212; soft butch Asian lady & # 8212;
holes it pulls down a well to frack it for some space bugs thirst. A
radiation field dried to the water table. (Gamma gift. T do) I guess it was
for character development?
Back on the ship, they note a strange anomaly. You already know what'll
happen & # 8230; Michael puts a space suit to investigate, despite the
intense radiation field. (Don they? T space robotic drones) After finding a
large mysterious object, a Klingon comes. After two seconds of combat, he
gigs with his Swiss Glaive, and Michael is injured and adrift. The Klingons
then argue over who should be the boss. That's because the Teenage Mutant
Ninja Turtles chief himself went to chase the intruder, alone and armed
with a medieval weapon.
Michael wakes up back on board. She left the hospital after being warned
not to finish radiation treatment mean death, still survives. A Klingon
Warbird arrives, first in stealth mode. (Didn? T invent Romulan cloaking
device) After the kick in the anthill and make sitting ducks, they discuss
what to do. Amid the crisis, Michael takes a quick private call with Sarek,
his adoptive father Vulcan. She urged the captain to pull preventively. To
settle the argument, Michael performs inefficiently Vulcan pinch. (Smooth
Move & # 8230;) After dithering too long, many other Klingon ships arrive.
Oops.
The second episode briefly shows Michael join the crew and Sarek warned to
behave. After the flashback, Michael speculates that the Klingons are
trying to unite. The ISN captain amused t & # 8212; is understandable,
given the blow of nerve pinch # 8212; and Michael goes to the brig.
Following a quick powwow Klingon, other Federation starships arrive.
A battle broke out, severely damaging the ship. A distraught redshirt dies.
Michael psychic quick powwow with Sarek. The battle resumes, with dirty
tricks on both sides. Then Michael and stage the captain of a botched raid
on the Klingon ship. Captain s remarkably short memory on its second
commander competence is fatal. Michael gets a life sentence, unsurprisingly.
The third episode takes a radical change, which risk exposure s main
premise. They have developed a fungus allowing teleportation. (It is
already available in Amsterdam.) My crystal ball predicts future hand
wringing about bioethics and weapons of mass destruction.
Analysis

Star Trek cast has always been quite diverse. That's harmless, unlike the
preachy political messages. However, this time re really lays it on thick.
(One of my friends wondered what's the deal with two chicks Starship
Commander.) There's even a man to fish Innsmouth with Spidey-sense for
danger, in fact STD & # 8216; the most interesting character. Fortunately,
it's not Wesley Crusher, avoiding Waltons in space shtick TNG.
As for the much-discussed social justice agenda, most respect the Klingons.
Traditionally, they're Russians & # 8212; pretty grumpy in TOS, but later
on suspicious soften. However, STD, they're still bad guys, who now
represent the Trump supporters. It & # 8217 (Gee, thank you!), No secret
that the tagline & # 8221 remain Klingon; is based on making America great
again & # 8220;.
TOS was classical structure storylines, drama borrowing large sums. TNG
more complex story arcs, with land in abundance iron bars. With STD,
special effects are pretty good, but they really need to stop using silly
ball & # 8221; field devices.
Sometimes it seemed that the writers weren t too familiar with the old
shows. In fact, the entertainment industry should recognize that adding a
longstanding franchise isn t just creating a product. It is a dramatic work
should flow smoothly with other series and public expectations, building on
what worked before. The good development goes a long way.
What Klingons want?
They're this cartoon, updated for the current year.
They want to consolidate political unity in order to defend their
sovereignty and culture & # 8212; in short, to remain Klingon & # 8221;.
They believe & # 8212; quite plausibly & # 8212; the Federation won t let
them live by themselves, but to integrate them into their interstellar
empire where they'll lose their independence and lifestyle.
The Federation sociopolitical structure isn t explained in depth, but the
money is obsolete. Food (and probably other consumer goods) are immediately
available via replicators. Advanced technology has finally made the work of
socialism fairytale. Probably the public is either dying of boredom or
gaffes on holodecks all day. However, the Klingons aren t feel the love of
it.
Despite frequent interstellar interference, TOS and TNG even lip service to
the & # 8221 Prime Directive; principle of non-interference. However, the
MST Federation essentially plays the same role as the Borg did in TNG & #
8212; Prepare to be assimilated, resistance is futile & # 8221;. Since
they've unwittingly staked land claim Klingon, courteous resolution to the
border dispute isn t in the cards.
The Federation has always been an internationalist vision, the United
Nations into the space. Thus, the globalists are the Borg today and form of
socialism they want to we won t variety of fairy tale.
Stay Klingon, my friends.
