The US military said on Tuesday it was probing a West Point graduate's
pro-communist messages on social media.
The army was quick to announce that it was examining posts by 2 Lieutenant
Spenser Rapone, issuing a statement Tuesday saying, Second Lieutenant
Rapone s shares do not reflect the values of the Military Academy of the
United States or US army & # 8221.
as actors of public confidence, members of the army should have exemplary
behavior, and it is forbidden to engage in certain expressions of political
speech in uniform. Second Lieutenant Rapone chain of command is aware of
his actions and looks at the question. The academy is ready to help the
officer s the necessary chain of command, the statement continued.
Rapone has two positions clearly pro-communists on Twitter this week,
including one in which he expressed his support for Argentine communist
revolutionary Che Guevara.

under his uniform.

Rapone posted another photo on Sunday taking his military hat with the
message communism win written inside in a tweet expressing support for
free-agent NFL Colin Kaepernick from President Trump's attacks on NFL
players taking a knee in protest during the national anthem.
