How to get over the fear of being hit in the face

The fear of being hit in the face can severely limit your ability to defend
yourself and your loved ones. Imagine walking outside and hitting an idiot
who doesn know out of your way. He pushes you and shouts, "Stay out of my
way! "No matter what you do, this aggressive psychopath has already decided
to avenge the imagined disrespect. Suddenly he swings a wild haymaker your
jaw. What to do?
If this is your first time to react to a punch, your instincts may flinch,
close your eyes or turn away to protect your face, but it puts you at risk
even more than you do not know exactly where the psychopath is aggressive.
To overcome fear, accept the possibility that you could be hit. Otherwise,
you fear takes over and forces to make bad decisions that could actually
put you in more danger. Accept some pain from a blow to the face is a small
price to pay to keep the awareness that you have to handle the situation or
escape. If you want to get over this fear, then you have to risk being hit.
Here are 4 ways to train yourself to overcome fear of taking a hit:
1. Ask someone Throw Stuff At You

Ask someone to throw things at you that will not hurt on impact, preferably
something sweet. Pay attention to your reactions. Do you flinch more than
necessary? Close your eyes you? Are you trying to protect something that
can not even hurt? This is a simple method that helps you understand your
own thrill of reaction and begin to decide when it is appropriate to start
or not.
2. Be punched repeatedly

Once you have started to take control of your instinct to flinch, put on
boxing gloves with a partner and try to protect you while suppressing the
urge to take your eyes off your opponent. Keep the gloves and touch the
head forward or to the side to protect you. Ask your partner hit you
several times with light to moderate strikes. Try to keep your guard and
protect you while maintaining eye contact and let the urge to flinch.
3. Learn to fight

The fear comes from a lack of control. If you do not believe you are able
to defend yourself, it makes you more likely to freeze and get hit. If you
know how to fight, you will have more control over the situation because
you have more reference experiments backup your belief that you can defend
yourself successfully.
So take martial arts classes and practice aggression against a punching bag
while maintaining proper form. It will help you feel more confident in your
ability to defend yourself if need someday.
4. Stay calm and practical Spar

After learning basic typing skills and defense, practice sparring with a
partner. You will be struck. Made with. Spend a few sparring sessions
focusing on staying calm, no matter what they throw at you. Keep your cool.
Do not get angry. The practice of accepting the reality that you have been
hit, but focus more on the present moment and less on the hook pain that
grazed your temple.
These four methods should help overcome the natural reflex to start.
Becoming a fully conscious man means taking control of some of your
instincts. The thrill is supposed to protect you from danger, but it can
also put you in danger by making you freeze instead of taking action.
To overcome the thrill keep your eyes open, no matter what. Observing your
environment to prioritize so you can respond appropriately. In addition,
you mentally prepare for the strike swung around in the air that do not
actually make contact. I've seen guys turn and start back when the other
guy threw a punch that wasn t even close to landing. It was quite
unnecessary and opens to get kicked from behind. Train to stop overreacting
in this way.
These training methods will help you overcome the fear of taking a hit.
Note that they need a partner to help you form more confident reflexes. If
no one can help you, or you aren t able to train these skills then at least
remember the following when this psychopath is to throw a punch at you & #

Keep your eyes open at all times

Keep your eyes on the opponent. Your situation can only get worse if you do
not know what happens. It also shows you aren not afraid. More terrified
you look the bully thinks he or she can hurt you. Also, keeping your eyes
open helps you stay aware of opportunities to escape.
Protect yourself
You've probably heard the cliché one ounce of prevention is worth a pound
of cure & # 8221. It is easier to defend the second strike if you have
successfully blocked the first. So get your hands on the sides of your face
to protect it. Try to keep your chin tucked and slightly behind your lead
shoulder.
Move
If you get hit in the face and then go! Get out of the range of the same
strike. Take a step further, duck, or do something that makes the aggressor
guess where you will be. It is more difficult to reach a moving target.
If you really want to overcome fear of punches and drill these habits.
boxing practice with a partner. Eventually you will be unfazed by the
strikes that fly millimeter in your face.
You will also realize that many shots do not hurt actually as much as you
anticipated. If you Flinch, you assume a horrible pain stormed toward you.
When the fist of the aggressor arises in fact, it could cause damage to
zero, but you feel more pain than necessary because you expected. However,
if you relax and focus while taking control of your response thrill,
beatings you take will not hurt as much and you should be less afraid to
take a hit.
