Gov. Greg Abbott said 26 people were killed in an attack on a church in
Texas and that was the deadliest mass shooting in the state's history.
Abbott's remarks came at a news conference on Sunday, hours after the

miles southeast of San Antonio.
The victims were aged 5 to 72 years.
Two officials who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity
identified the attacker as Devin Kelley.

his cousins were present and that the family members were told at least
one was killed.
Thirty-four year old Nick Uhlig said he didn t go to Sutherland Springs
Sunday church because he was out on Saturday night. He said the cousin who
was killed three children and was pregnant with a fourth. It did not know
details on how the other was doing.
Uhlig said the family had just met days earlier for his grandfather's
funeral cousins.

investigation was early and the numbers could change. Authorities are still
trying to determine a motive.
